As of now, Dmitri Sautin holds the record for most Olympic diving medals won by an individual, he has managed to bag eight medals in between 1992 and 2008.
Most diving competitions consists of three various discipline rules, it has a 1m and 3m springboard and a platform. Athletes are needed to be divided according to their gender and age. Competitors are allowed to perform dives on either the five, seven and a half or nine and ten meter towers. In big events such as the Olympic Games, the competitors perform diving from the 10 meter height.
